Thriving Prophetically

Thriving Prophetically

The focus of Thriving Prophetically is to connect individuals who are working in justice-related areas of ministry and equipping them through peer-led, group mentoring cohorts. The Juvenile Justice Leadership Cohort supports Youth Pastors and leaders who work with youth in the criminal justice system.  The Covenant Justice Coalition connects ECC churches together in a support network as they pursue justice in their context. We continue to develop the “Seminary in Prison” model by creating cohorts of free and incarcerated students to learn from each other and alongside each other through our new School of Restorative Arts in Stateville Correctional Center.

Juvenile Justice
Leadership Cohort

The JJLC seeks to serve youth pastors and other leaders working with youth and young adults who are involved in the criminal justice system. The 12-month program will provide a place for supportive relationships through cohort development, creative resourcing, and shared experiences that enable even the most experienced youth worker to grow in their ministry.

School of Restorative Arts

Housed in Stateville Correctional Center and run through NPTS, the SRA offers an MA in Christian Ministry with a Restorative Arts track allowing free and incarcerated students to study together. The foci of the program include positive race relations and cultural differences,  non-violent communication, deepening of one’s faith, servant leadership, and much more.

Covenant Justice Coalition

The CJC will be made up of cohort triads, creating an intentional way for churches to support and learn from each other as they pursue the work of Justice together. Each Triad will choose the Justice issue they feel works best in their own context. The ECC is working together to address larger social issues with the understanding that Pastors can thrive prophetically when working in partnerships.
